arts are for everyone at caldera. the hearth center provides a stunning venue for a wide range of artistic events: ensemble concerts, community performances, theater and dance. an expanse of wood and glass, the hearth is rooted in the central oregon landscape. the hearth also serves as an inspiring center for community programs including arts education institutes, conferences, workshops and seminars.

in winter, caldera provides the gift of time and place for professional artists to do creative work. just like kids, just like all of us, artists need places that inspire them – somewhere to escape the familiar. writers and artists in all media enhance the cultural life of the region and serve as sources of inspiration for young people.

surrounded by the deschutes national forest, caldera’s 90 acres include a lakeside camp and cabins for deep retreats. caldera is available for rental to arts, educational and other organizations.
